DAY 1 - motivation
99% of drummers fail to reach their goals because they don't know what to practice or how to practice. Another way of saying this is that they have no plan to follow. To succeed in anything , you need to understand the WHY behind what you are doing and then have a plan that sets you up for success. You wouldn't go to the gym without a routine; don't approach your drumming with out one either.
DAY 2 - foundational components
Learn how to practice the only foundations that are needed instead of wasting your time trying to copy other people's beats, fills, and grooves. When you know what the foundations are and how to master them, you are giving yourself a proper foundation for permanent growth.
DAY 3 - Muscle memory
If you are not doing this right, you are setting yourself up for failure. Said another way, if you continuously play in an incorrect way, you are actually rewiring your brain in an incorrect way. If you practice and play consistently in a correct way, you rewire your brain to permanently remember and translate the correct motions to your hands and feet.
DAY 4 - building block components
Most drum training programs teach you how to play their specific fills, beats and grooves. They give you a limited amount of pieces to creatively build with which limits your creativity to only the things that the program is teaching you. But building block components are designed to unlock your own creativity. Master these and you can create your own fills, grooves, and beats like using lego pieces.
DAY 5 - the f.a.c.t.s practice system
Use this proven system to know WHAT to practice and HOW to practice it without guessing or wasting time, all while building proper muscle memory. Without a plan, plans fail.
